{"id":149,"date":"2021-12-03T15:59:49","date_gmt":"2021-12-03T13:59:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ac-group.in.ua\/?page_id=149"},"modified":"2026-07-21T17:02:19","modified_gmt":"2026-07-21T14:02:19","slug":"green-tariff","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ac-group.in.ua\/en\/green-tariff\/","title":{"rendered":"Green tariff"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><b>What is a \u201cgreen\u201d tariff?<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>Following the Law of Ukraine No. 555-IV &#8220;On Alternative Energy Sources&#8221; dated February 20, 2003, Article 1 &#8220;green&#8221; tariff is a special tariff at which electricity produced at electric power facilities is purchased, in particular at the commissioned phases of the construction of power plants (start-up complexes), from alternative energy sources (and with the use of hydropower &#8211; only micro-, mini- and small hydroelectric power plants). The &#8220;green&#8221; tariff is set for each business entity that produces electricity from alternative energy sources.<\/p>\n<h3><b>Who sets the &#8220;green&#8221; tariff?<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>The &#8220;green&#8221; tariff is established by the National Commission, which carries out state regulation in the fields of energy and utilities for each business entity that produces electricity from alternative energy sources.<\/p>\n<h3><b>How is the \u201cgreen\u201d tariff for biogas calculated?<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>The &#8220;green&#8221; tariff for economic entities that produce electricity from biogas is set at the level of the retail tariff for consumers of the second voltage class for January 2009, multiplied by the coefficient of the &#8220;green&#8221; tariff for electricity. Following the <a href=\"https:\/\/zakon.rada.gov.ua\/laws\/show\/555-15#Text\">Law of Ukraine No. 555-IV &#8220;On Alternative Energy Sources&#8221; dated 20.02.2003<\/a>, Article 9<sup>1<\/sup> and <a href=\"https:\/\/zakon.rada.gov.ua\/laws\/show\/v1817874-19#Text\">Resolution of the NKREKP No. 1817 dated 30.08.2019<\/a>. for electricity produced from biogas, the green tariff coefficient is set at 2.30 until December 31, 2029.<\/p>\n<p>The fixed minimum size of the &#8220;green&#8221; tariff for business entities, consumers of electrical energy, including energy cooperatives and private households (Fmin, euros per 1 kW \u2022 h, excluding VAT) is calculated by this formula:<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>\u0424<sub>min<\/sub>\u00a0= \u0422<sub>\u0441\u043f.II\u043a\u043b.01.01.2009 \u00a0\u00a0<\/sub>*\u00a0\u041a<sub>\u0417\u0422\u00a0<\/sub>\/\u00a0\u0404<sub>01.01.2009\u00a0<\/sub><\/strong>, (1)<\/h3>\n<p><b>\u0422<\/b><b><sub>\u0441\u043f.II\u043a\u043b.01.01.2009 <\/sub><\/b>\u2013\u00a0the retail tariff for consumers of the second voltage class as of January 2009 is 58,46\u00a0kopecks without VAT per 1 \u043a\u0412\u0442\u2022\u0433\u043e\u0434.<\/p>\n<p><b>\u041a<\/b><b><sub>\u0417\u0422 <\/sub><\/b>\u2013\u00a0green tariff coefficient.<\/p>\n<p><b>\u0404<\/b><b><sub>01.01.2009 <\/sub><\/b>\u2013\u00a0hryvnia to euro exchange rate officially established by the National Bank of Ukraine as of January 01, 2009, UAH 1,085.546 per 100 euros.<\/p>\n<p>An example of calculating the minimum size of the &#8220;green&#8221; tariff for biogas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u0424<sub>min<\/sub>\u00a0= 58.46\u00a0kopecks without VAT * 2.30 \/ 1085.546 uan =\u00a00.1240\u00a0euro-cents \u0437\u0430 1 kW\u2022h.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><b>About the increase to the &#8220;green&#8221; tariff<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>For commission power facilities that produce electricity from alternative energy sources from July 1, 2015, to December 31, 2024, a premium is set to the &#8220;green&#8221; tariff, the auction price for compliance with the level of use of Ukrainian-made equipment.<\/p>\n<p>The premium for compliance with the level of use of Ukrainian-made equipment is fixed.<\/p>\n<table>\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<th>Amount of the premium to the &#8220;green tariff\u00bb, %<\/th>\n<th>Level of use of Ukrainian-made equipment, %<\/th>\n<\/tr>\n<\/thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>5<\/td>\n<td>30\u00a0<span style=\"font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit;\">and more, but not less than\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit;\">50<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>10<\/td>\n<td>50\u00a0<span style=\"font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit;\">and more, but not less than\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit;\">70<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>20<\/td>\n<td>70\u00a0<span style=\"font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit;\">and more<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>The maximum amount of the premium for compliance with the level of use of Ukrainian-made equipment for electric power facilities that produce electricity from alternative energy sources, in the auction price upon reaching six years of operation of the corresponding electric power facility, should be no more than 10 %.<\/p>\n<p>The level of use of Ukrainian-made equipment at biogas plant facilities is determined as the sum of the corresponding specific percentage indicators of equipment elements.
